The major objective of the game remains the same, as you need to participate in all kinds of destruction, applying diverse weapons. However, this time Solar Smash offers you to try exterminating numerous planets mostly with spaceships equipped with multiple bombs, rockets and shells.
There is even a separate interface which allows you to be more precise and shoot the planet directly manipulating each shell. At the same time, apart from celestial bodies, you will also need to take down multiple opponents! It turns out that you are not alone in space and there are other wanderers that are not happy to see you on their territories.
One of the most significant features that this version of Solar Smash presents is the 2D perspective, which presents a view from above on all the actions happening on the planets. Although it may not seem very convenient, in fact it suggests a clear view of everything you need to fulfil your mission.
The design also stays one the same high quality, presenting extremely detailed textures and fantastic special effects. Watch your bombs blast, breaking off small rocks from a celestial body, which gradually becomes covered with narrow breaks filled with boiling magma.
As in Solar Smash you have an opponent now, it is time to take part in grandiose fights between high-tech spacecrafts! Each kind of them has their own stats that need to be considered. Smaller ships are usually faster and more manoeuvrable and bigger ones have more powerful rockets on board.
It is possible to successfully travel through the game on any kind of ship, the overall result depends just on your skills! Perfect controls of Solar Smash allow you to manipulate the ship precisely, avoiding both enemy’s missiles and dangerous asteroids which you may chip away accidentally or on purpose.
Monitor your health and acceleration not to get into trouble! Red and blue lines above your ship indicate how much time you have. The game doesn’t stop if you get killed though, so keep on exploring the space with a new vehicle!
